ఉత్తర అమెరికా తెలుగు సంఘం(తానా) 22వ ద్వైవార్షిక మహాసభలు వాషింగ్టన్ డీసీ నగరంలో జులై 4,5,6 తేదీల్లో నిర్వహిస్తున్న సందర్భంగా ఆ సంస్థ అధ్యక్షుడు వేమన సతీష్, సభల చైర్మన్ డా.కొడాలి నరేన్‌లు శుక్రవారం సాయంత్రం తానా ట్రస్ట్ బోర్డు చైర్మన్ కోండ్రుకుంట చలపతి నేతృత్వంలో ప్లేనోలో నిర్వహించిన నిధుల సేకరణ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. 44ఏళ్లుగా తెలుగు భాషా సంస్కృతి సాంప్రదాయలను పరిరక్షించడంతో పాటు వాటి వ్యాప్తికి, వినిమయానికి విశేష కృషి చేస్తున్న తానా డీసీలో జరగబోయే మహాసభల ద్వారా మరో కొత్త చరిత్ర లిఖిస్తుందని ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో పాల్గొని ప్రసంగించిన వక్తలు అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. అనంతరం నిర్వహించిన నిధుల సేకరణ కార్యక్రమంలో స్థానిక ప్రవాసులు విరివిగా విరాళాలు ప్రకటించారు. సమావేశం ముగిసే సమయానికి ₹2.11కోట్లకు (302,000డాలర్లు) ప్రవాసుల నుండి హామీలు లభించినట్లు చలపతి పేర్కొన్నారు. తానా సభలకు రికార్డు స్థాయిలో విరాళాలు అందించినవారికి తానా ప్రాంతీయ ప్రతినిధి సుగన్ చాగర్లమూడి ధన్యవాదాలు తెలిపారు. ప్రవాసుల ఆత్మగౌరవానికి ఆత్మాభిమానానికి తానా ఆకాశం వంటిదని – 22వ మహాసభల పట్ల వారికున్న ఆశయాలు అందుకునేలా, నమ్మకాలు అధిగమించేలా ఏర్పాట్లు చేసి డీసీ సభలను దిగ్విజయం చేసేందుకు శాయిశక్తులా కృషి చేస్తామని సతీష్, నరేన్‌లు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మండవ శ్రీనివాస్, అడుసుమిల్లి రాజేష్, కేసీ చేకూరి, వీరపనేని అనీల్, పోలవరపు శ్రీకాంత్, మురళీ వెన్నం, దొడ్డా సాంబా, కన్నెగంటి చంద్ర, కన్నెగంటి మంజులత, డా.ఆళ్ల శ్రీనివాసరెడ్డి, నాటా తరఫున డా.కొర్సపాటి శ్రీధర్ రెడ్డి, టాటా తరఫున విక్రం జనగామ, టాంటెక్స్ తరఫున చినసత్యం వీర్నపు తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
