ATAI ఆధ్వర్యంలో బతుకమ్మ ఉత్సవాలు శుక్రవారం ప్రారంభం అయినవి. ప్రపంచ తెలంగాణ ప్రతినిధులతో బతుకమ్మ అట పాటలతో అట్టహాసంగా జరిగినాయి . ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ఆస్ట్రేలియా లోని ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల ప్రతినిదులు మరియు ప్రపంచంలోని న్యూజ్లాండ్, సౌత్ ఆఫ్రికా, ఇంగ్లాండ్ వంటి పలుదేశాల నుండి తెలంగాణ ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొనటం జరిగింది.
అయితే ప్రతి సంవత్సరం లాగ ఒక చోట గుమ్మిగూడి కాకుండా, వినూతనంగా అంతర్జాలంలో ఎవరి ఇంట్లో వాళ్ళు ఉండి ఆన్లైన్ లో ఆడుంకుంటుండ్రు. మెల్బోర్న్ లోని అన్ని ప్రాంతనుండి ఆన్లైన్ బతుకమ్మ సెలెబ్రేషన్స్ లో పాల్గొనడం జరిగింది. తొమ్మిది రోజుల పటు ATAI ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగే ఈ ఉస్త్సవాలను ఎంగిలిపూల బతుకమ్మతో ప్రారంభించుకుండ్రు. మెల్బోర్న్ లో లాక్ డౌన్ ఉన్నకారణంగా, స్థానిక లాక్ డౌన్ నిబంధనలను పాటిస్తూ ఆన్లైన్ లో ఆడుకుంటుండ్రు. మాములుగా ఎంగిలిపూల బతుకమ్మ కు ATAI కార్యవర్గసభ్యులు సకినాలు, సర్వపిండి, పచ్చిపులుసు మరియు మలిలముద్దలు వంటి తెలంగాణ వంటకాలతో విందు ఏర్పాటు చేసే ఆనవాయితీ ఉంది కానీ ఈసారి మాత్రం వారు వారు వారి వారి ఇండ్లలో మాత్రమే పిండివంటలు చేసుకోవడం జరుగుతుంది. ప్రకృతి వైపరీత్య కారణాల వల్ల కరోనా మహమ్మారి వాళ్ళ ఈ విదంగా జరిగింది. అయితే వర్క్ ఫ్రొం హోమ్ ఎట్లాగైతే అలవాటు చేస్తున్నామో అదేవిదంగా ఈ బతుకమ్మ అదేవిదానాన్ని కూడా మార్చుకోవడం జరిగింది. ఈసారి గౌరమ్మను కరోనానించి కాపాడమని ATAI మహిళామణులు పాటలు రాసి పాట రూపకంగా పరాధేయపడ్డారు. ATAI ప్రధాన ఆశయాల లో తెలంగాణ సంస్కృతి సంప్రదాయాలను భావితరాలకు అందించటం ప్రధానమైనది. సంస్కుతిని సంప్రదాయాలను ముందు తరాలకు తీసుకొనిపోవాలంటే ఇప్పుడు యువకులకు పిల్లలకి నేర్పించినట్లయితే అది బావితరాలకు సంక్రమిస్తదనేది ATAI అధ్యక్షుని అభిప్రాయం. ఈ లక్ష్యం కార్యరూపం దాల్చే దిశగా ATAI అడుగులు పడుతున్నవి. ATAI ఎంగిలిపూల బతుకమ్మ నుండి సద్దుల బతుకమ్మ వరకు ప్రతి రోజు బతుకమ్మ ఆడటం, పిల్లలకు పెయింటింగ్, డ్రాయింగ్, డిబేట్ వంటి కార్యక్రమాలు జరుపుకోవటం జరుగుతుంది.
ప్రతి సంవత్సరం ATAI బతుకమ్మలను తెచ్చిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి బహుమతి ఇవ్వడం జరుగుతుంది ప్రధమ 3 బతుకమ్మలను బంగారు నాణాలను మరియు ప్రతి ఒక్క బతుకమ్మ కు వెండి నాణాలను ఇవ్వటం జరుగుతుంది. ఈ సంవత్సరం బతుకమ్మలు తెచ్చిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి పట్టుచీర బహుమతి గ ఇవ్వడం జరుగుతుంది. ఇండియా నుండి ప్రముఖ గాయని తెలు విజయ మరియు ఇతర కాలకేయులు లైవ్ లో పాల్గొంటారు.
24th అక్టోబర్ నాడు జరిగే సద్దులబతుకమ్మ కు అందరికి ఆహ్యానించడం జరుగుతుంది.

Australian Telangana Association (ATAI) has started its 7th Bathukamma celebrations on Friday. The event started with traditional Vinayaka & Durga Pooja prior to playing Bathukamma. The event was attended by representatives from other states in Australia and Telangana representatives of Telangana associations from various parts of the world such as New Zealand, South Africa, and England. Due to Covid restrictions respecting the local regulations instead of congregating this year they played online. Participants attended from all over the Melbourne in a grand scale. Then nine-day ATAI event kicks off with a bang.
It is routine for ATAI members to dine at Engilipula Bathukamma event with spicy Telangana dishes such as sakinalu, sarvapindi, pacchipulusu and malidamuddalu. While women are playing men arranges food and feeds kids. This year they all missing this fun. However, as we have become accustomed to the work from home, similarly we changed the way we play Bathukamma. This year songs are written and sung by women praying “Goddes Gouramma” to save from Karona.
ATAI vision is to promote the Telangana culture to the coming generations. To preserve and promote Telangana culture for future generations now we have to inculcate in to youth and children. To inculcating into children ATAI is conducting debate and painting and drawing competitions on Telangana and Bathukamma themes for kids.
This year ATAI celebrating main event on 24th October.
For main event (Saddula Bathukamma) very year ATAI presents Gold coins for the best 3 Bathukamma’s and silver coins for every Bathukamma. However this year ATAI gifting every participant with Bathukamma are presented with silk sarees. The famous folk singer Thelu Vijaya will be participating from India for the main event Bathukamma.
