TPAD Conducts Blood Drive In Dallas

TPAD, Telangana People’s Association of Dallas hosted its 8th annual blood drive with safety precautions in place. As always, they have kick started their activities for the year with community service activity of Blood Drive.

In their Blood drive campaign, they have registered about 40 people and raised 30 pints of blood. Carter Blood Care, one of the largest blood centers in Texas has conducted the blood draw. Carter Blood care said, every Pint saves 3 lives and with 30 units will help save 90 lives.

The 30 units of blood collected, would fulfill blood demand for high blood demanding medical procedures like 5 heart surgeries or 10 blood transfusions.

In the blood drive that took all day with 40 donors turning up for donating blood, TPAD’s team has provided breakfast and lunch to all the donors.

A local IT Company, IT Spin has provided much needed parking and other facilities necessary to conduct the blood drive.

The blood drive was coordinated by Lakshmi Poreddy, guided by Rao Kalvala, Madhavi Sunkireddy, Ravikanth Mamidi and Goli Buchi Reddy and campaigned by Anuradha Mekala.

With blood drive, TPAD has not only help save lives, but also provided opportunity to students and youth from Frisco, Plano, Allen and Coppell to volunteer in the charitable activity and gave them a taste of happiness of working for a nobler cause.

Blood donors expressed deep regards to TPAD for organizing the drive, showing exceptional service and leaving a successful blood donation experience for them.

The donors were well received and taken care by Carter’s technicians and TPADs volunteers.

TPAD conveyed thanks to Uma Bandaru of IT Spin, for providing facilities and parking for the carter Blood care team to draw blood and take care of donors.

TPAD leadership and volunteers said it was their duty on behalf of Telugu community to conduct blood drive and serve needs of local community. With the kind of support and blessings we have, we are able to get the community involved for blood drive and make greater impact on the lives of others.

TPAD expressed gratitude for the blood donors for taking their time and donating blood.
