TPAD Conducts Food Drive in Dallas

Telangana Peoples Association of Dallas has intensified its community service activities conducting three community service events in less than three months, in the form of Blood Drive, Vaccine Drive and Food Drive.

Food is the most basic necessity and TPAD firmly committed to feed the hungry in the community. There are many poor communities in Dallas area, without shelter and food. TPAD chose the Austin Street homeless shelter to feed the hungry.

The volunteers of TPAD cooked flavored rice and chicken for 250 people. In view of the safety of the people in the shelter, they packed the hot food in food boxes and delivered and safely distributed the food boxes at the Austin Street Shelter in Dallas.

The Food drive was coordinated by its president, Ravikanth Mamidi.

Speaking on the occasion, Rao Kalvala, Raghuveer Bandaru, Madhavi Sunkireddy, Ravikanth Mamid said, as a responsible community organization, it is their social responsibility to help the poor and that it will continue to do food drives in coming months and years.
