Karimnagar NRI Gets Into Frisco Parks Recreation Board

Venu Bhagyanagar is appointed as member of Parks Recreation Board, of Frisco City, Texas. The board comprises 7 members, with a term of 2 years.

The Parks and Recreation Board is responsible for the development and implementation of the planning vision for the Parks and Recreation system in Frisco.

The Parks and Recreation Board works with department staff and the City Council to creatively explore methods and strategies to provide the best parks and recreation system available to the residents of Frisco.

The City of Frisco, with a population of over 200,000 has 49 parks ranging from neighborhood parks to large community parks, along with a system of trails and natural areas. Besides the Parks, The Parks & Recreation includes the Frisco Athletics Center and Frisco Public Art Center.

Venu Bhagyanagar, hails from the village of Chegurthi of Karimnagar District, Telangana. After Completing his Degree in SRR College, Karimnagar, he went on to complete his MSC from Nizam College, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He then went to study Law at the prestigious Delhi University, New Delhi. He did his MBA from Savannah, Georgia.

Working at Bank of America as a Vice president, he has been actively volunteering for charitable activities in the Dallas metro area and is well known across the communities in Frisco.

When contacted, he said, recreation plays a very important role in the health of an individual and he said as a member of the Parks and Recreation board, he is looking forward to working with other board members and the city council to fulfill its mission of providing the best recreation systems to the residents of Frisco.

He thanked the Frisco City mayor Jeff Cheney and council members for showing their confidence and giving him the opportunity to serve the city
