TPAD 2023 Vanabhojanalu Brings Joy

Telangana Peoples Association of Dallas (TPAD) conducted one of its mega outdoor event, “Vanabhojanalu” at Pilot Knoll Park, Argyl.

As TPAD is known for conducting events with variety and creativity and on a bigger mega scale, be it their Vanabhojanalu or world’s well known Bathukamma Celebration.

People turned up in huge numbers to participate in Vanabhojanalu and like every year, the number of people exceeded expectations.

On a day with nice sun, breeze from the nearby lake and under the shades of trees in the park, the volunteers of TPAD cooked food on site with varieties of food items, including Telangana specialties of Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani, Bagara Rice, Pachipulusu and pickles.

Known for bringing variety, TPAD arranged a huge stage and introduced cultural performances to entertain the guests all through the day. In addition to cultural programs, they have also brought vendor booths and Face painting and Mehendi artists to the park, making it an engaging and enjoyable day for everyone.

The event started off with Ganesh pooja. Soon after pooja, food was served with four stalls. It was amazing to see how smoothly food was served for over 2500 people, without any wait time. This showed how much they have brainstormed for execution of each activity.

The event was coordinated by Madhumathi Vysyaraju and guided by Raghuveer Bandaru(Chair of Foundation Committee), Sudhakr Kalasani(Chair of BOT), Linga Reddy Alva (President), Roja Adpeu(Coordinator) with excellent team work by entire TPAD team.

While Uma Gaddam has supervised entire operations of the on-site kitchen where food was prepared by Madhavi Sunkireddy, Indu Pancharupula, Lakshmi Poreddy, Roopa Kannayyagari, Manjula Todupunoori , Renuka Chanumolu, Naresh Sunkireddy, Ashok Kondala, Vijay Todupunuri, Sridhar Vemula, Goli Buchi Reddy, for well over 2500 people in 3 hours.

While Anuradha Mekala(Vice President) and Bala Ganapavarapu coordinated social media and audio video activities for the event, Madhavi Lokireddy coordinated the activities on the stage and Swapna Tummapala coordinated raffle prizes and Gayatri Giri coordinated Pooja activities.

Harishankar Resu, Shiva Kudithyala and Bala Ganapavarapu helped on the entire logistics of the event like shopping for grocery, water and arraning tables and chairs for the event

The highlight of the event was spicy chicken barbeque and sweet corn grilled on site by Karan Poreddy, Rathna Uppala, Srinivas Annamaneni, Surendar Chintala, and Adithya Gade. They cooked tasty chicken barbeque for the entire event, serving for over 2000 people.

As the food was prepared, the guests were served hot food in 4 stations arranged under the big trees in the park, handling the lunch time rush effortlessly.

Rao Kalvala, Ajay Reddy, Upendar Telugu, Ravikanth Reddy Mamidi (Past President) have actively monitored the activities throughout the day making sure the planned activities were flowing smoothly providing necessary logistical support and advise.

After the lunch and barbeque, raffles winners were announced and given raffle gift.
The event of this magnitude was possible because of the dedicated team members and committed volunteers with six weeks of planning and flawless execution. 

TPAD leadership conveyed thanks to the sponsors for supporting the event and the entire Telugu community of Dallas for turning up in such a huge number and making it a grand success.
