అమెరికాలో భారతీయ కళలు, తెలుగు భాష, సంస్కృతుల వ్యాప్తికి కృషి చేస్తున్న సిలికానాంధ్ర సంస్థ ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహిస్తున్న సిలికానాంధ్ర విశ్వవిద్యాలయం(UofSA)కు WASC (Western Association Of Schools And Colleges) గుర్తింపు లభించినట్లు సిలికానాంధ్ర సంస్థ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు కూచిభొట్ల ఆనంద్ ఓ ప్రకటనలో పేర్కొన్నారు. ఉత్తర అమెరికాలో భారతీయ విలువలకు పెద్దపీట వేసే ప్రత్యేకమైన విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల్లో ఒకటైన తమ యూనివర్శిటీకి ఈ గుర్తింపు లభించడం గర్వకారణమని ఆయన అన్నారు.
About WASC Accredation: The WASC accreditation process aids institutions in developing and sustaining effective educational programs and assures the educational community, the general public, and other organizations that an accredited institution has met high standards of quality and effectiveness. The Commission accredits institutions, not individual programs. Therefore, in addition to assessing the academic quality and educational effectiveness of institutions, the Commission emphasizes institutional structures, processes, and resources.
