CAA international women’s day went with the theme DigitALL: innovation and technology for empowered women and it was a floral success.
Chicago Andhra Association celebrated the International Women’s Day 2023 in a colorful event held on March 11th.
Held under the leadership of President Gowri Sankar Addanki, advised by Chairman Sujatha Appalaneni and past president Malathi Damaraju, vice president Swetha Kottapalli ably lead this event from the initial planning and preparation to a successful event finale. Director Anu Gampala and Pavani Kothapalli handled the registrations for the event.
Mrs Anindita Ghosh, wife of Consular General Sri Somnath Ghosh was the guest of Honor and addressed the gathering. Renowned Kathak Dancer and movie actress Madhura Sane graced the event and started the Reels competition. CAA sponsors Dr Sathya Medanaga of Meda Dental, Sailaja Sappa of Sriko Batteries, Shubha Priya Lakshmanan of Professional Mortgage Solutions Inc, Laxminaag Suribhotla of Real People Realty, Madhu Choudhary of Choudhary Jewellers, Priya Ponnuswamy of Eye Level, Vinitha of Srishti Discover India, along with heroine Madhura Sane and Gitika Religadla, 2019 Mrs Bharath Illinois judged the various competitions.
Saumya Bojja beautifully decorated the stage, photo booth, and tables. Functioning as MCs for this evening, Anvitha Panchagnula and Tamishra Konchada entertained all with their energetic commentary and crowd interaction.
Dressed in SitaRamam theme sarees or beautiful floral printed sarees, all the ladies came up with very creative names for each table and enthusiastically participated in a variety of activities, like, Reels, Yaasa Bhasha, vegetable carving, Riddles, DIY Flower contest, and many games throughout the evening and enjoyed throughly. Shopping for jewelry and clothes at the vendor booths was enjoyed by all.
Dr Savitha Munaga, PhD spoke and presented about the stress, time, and pain management. A special presentation was made by Radhika Addanki about the portrayal of women by Kalaa Tapaswi Sri K Viswanath in his many movies.
DJ Sandeep entertained the audience by playing energetic and groovy numbers. Pavani Koduri brought the house up on its feet and lead with great dance moves which were enjoyed and replicated by everyone.
Surya & Aruna Datla of Cosmos Digital captured the entire event in beautiful photos, and dinner was provided by Bawarchi Biryanis Aurora-Naperville with a special sweet made by Sujatha Appalaneni.
Board directors Anuradha Gampala, Anusha Bestha, Anvitha Panchagnula, Soujanya Rallabandi, Harini Meda, Laxminaag Suribhotla, Savitha Munaga, Suchitra Tellapragada, Sundaravalli Malladi, Giri Kothamasu, Hemanth Talapaneni, Murali Reddivari, Narasimharao Veerapaneni, Prabhakar Mallampalli, Ramarao Kottamasu, Sreenivasa Murthy Padyala, Suresh Inapudi, and volunteers Samatha Peddamaru, Swathi Dauvuluru, SriSmitha Nanduri, Srilakshmi Devi Tadepalli, Sushmitha Battar, Soujanya Vundavalli, Sreelatha Komandoori, Archana VA, Sri Vidya Tirumalaraju, Supraja Talapaneni, Swarna Nagiredla, Ramya Myneni, Sireesha Padyala, Sruthi Kuchampudi worked for over a month to make this event a grand success. Organizers thanked the venue management for all the arrangements and help.
