టొరంటోలోని కూచిపూడి నృత్యాలయం ఫౌండేషన్ వార్షికోత్సవాన్ని, ప్రపంచ కూచిపూడి దినోత్సవాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని ‘నృత్య నీరాజనం’ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ఈస్టుడేల్ సివిఐ థియేటర్లో ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు. మాధవి ముండ్లూరు, ప్రియ కొమండూరి, మాధవి చిలువేరు, దేవి కలిదిండి, కుమారి ప్రవల్లిక వేమూరి జ్యోతి ప్రజ్వలన చేసి కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. అపర్ణ రాంభట్ల వ్యాఖ్యాతగా వ్యవహరించారు. ఆశ్రీత పొన్నపల్లి కెనడా జాతీయ గీతం, మా తెలుగు తల్లి పాటలతో కార్యక్రమం ప్రారంభమయింది. 40 మందికి పైగా నృత్యాలయం విద్యార్థినులు ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో వివిధ అంశాల్లో కూచిపూడి నాట్యాన్ని ప్రదర్శించారు. కార్యక్రమం ఆద్యంతం రసవత్తరంగా సాగి వీక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకుంది.
సిరివంశిక చిలువేరు, శ్రీనిధి కలిదిండి, హాసిని కొమండూరి ప్రదర్శనకు లండన్ గ్రిఫిన్ కాలేజి “నాట్య విలార్మణి” అవార్డులను ప్రదానం చేశారు. ఈ ముగ్గురు విద్యార్థినులు కూచిపూడి నృత్యాలయం నుండి “నృత్యశ్రీ” అవార్డులను కూడా అందుకున్నారు. సుశి నల్లయ్య, కమలిని, గ్రిఫిన్ కాలేజి, లండన్, నగేష్ కొండా న్యాయ నిర్ణేతలుగా వ్యవహరించారు. నాట్య ప్రదర్శన చేసిన విద్యార్థినులందరికి రమేష్ గొల్లు మొమెంటోలు అందచేశారు.
ఆషవా నగర ప్రతినిధులు బ్రాడ్లీ మార్క్స్, పాల్ కెల్లీలు ముఖ్య అతిధిగా విచ్చేసి అభినందనలు తెలిపారు. కూచిపూడి నృత్యాలయం సంస్థకు ప్రశంసా పత్రాన్ని అందచేశారు. రమేష్ వేమూరి-సుధ వేమూరి, వెంకట్ చిలువేరు, రవి కొమండూరి, ఆనంద్ కలిదిండి, వరుణ్ కోటేశ్వర్, నరేష్ ముదునూరు, రఘు ప్రసాద్ వేమూరి, శ్రీధర్ ముండ్లూరు, దివ్య దొంతి, రామ్ జిన్నాలలు పాల్గొన్నారు. కూచిపూడి దేవాలయం ధర్మకర్త ఏలేశ్వరపు హనుమంతరావు, సిద్ధేంద్ర కళాక్షేత్రం ప్రిన్సిపాల్ రామలింగశాస్త్రి, కూచిపూడి నాట్యాచార్యులు వేదాంతం రాధేశ్యాం అభినందనలు తెలిపారు. శ్రవణ్ వేమూరి వందన సమర్పణ చేశారు.

Kuchipudi Nrithyalayam Foundation in Toronto, Canada celebrated its anniversary and World Kuchipudi Day and organized ‘Nritya Neerajanam’ at Eastdale CVI Theatre.
Mr. Ramesh Vemuri and Mrs. Sudha Vemuri participated in the pooja program and inaugurated the event. Later Smt. Sudha Vemuri, Mrs. Madhavi Mundluru, Mrs. Priya Komanduri, Mrs. Madhavi Chiluveru, Mrs. Devi Kalidindi, Kumari Pravallika Vemuri, lit the Jyoti and started the program. Mrs. Aparna Rambhatla acted as narrator. The program started with Asritha Ponnapalli singing the National Anthem of Canada, Maa Telugu Talli.
On this occasion, more than 40 Nrithyalayam students performed Kuchipudi dance for various topics while more than 400 audience were elated by the performances and kept them enthralled.
Griffin College, London presented “Natya Vilarmani” awards to the performance of Sirivamsika Chiluveru, Srinidhi Kalidindi and Hasini Komanduri. These three students have also received “NrityaSri” awards from Kuchipudi Nrithyayalam Foundation. Mrs. Sushi Nalliah, Mrs. Kamalini, Griffin College, London, Mr. Nagesh Konda acted as judges. Mrs. Sushi Nalliah praised the dance performance of the students as the pinnacle during her speech. Mr. Ramesh Gollu on behalf of ‘Get Home Reality’ presented mementos to all the participants.
Oshawa City Mayor’s representative Bradley Marks was the chief guest and congratulated all those who participated in the event. Paul Kelly, who was the representative of Colin Carrie, Oshawa City M.P. presented a certificate of appreciation to the Kuchipudi Nrityalayam Foundation.
Venkat Chiluveru, Ravi Komanduri, Anand Kalidindi, Varun Koteshwar, Naresh Mudunuru, Bharathi Koteshwar, Lalitha Mudunuru and Raghu Prasad Vemuri etc. acted as core team in the management of this program.
Nrithyalayam honored Sridhar Mundluru, Divya Donthi of founders of Telugu Foods, Canada and Home Life Realty head Ram Jinnala who were Platinum and Gold sponsors for this event. Representatives of Canadian Telugu organizations DTC, CAC, OTF, DTA, TACA and other sponsors & supports joined this event and praised everyone participated in this event, for their passion for art.
Kuchipudi Temple Trustee Mr. Yeleswarapu Hanumantha Rao, Principal of Siddendra Kalakshetra Mr. Ramalinga Sastry, and Kuchipudi Natyacharyulu Mr. Vedantam Radheshyam gave their blessings.
