Mana American Telugu Association (MATA) organized biggest Bathukamma and Dasara celebrations in NJ on Sunday, Oct 15,2023 in Royal Albert’s Palace in NJ. There are more than 2000 people from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh origin participated in the celebrations.
The biggest attraction of the event was that the MATA team was able to prepare and display 21 feet Bathukamma prepared in a grand style and many cultural events from local dance schools participated and made it a big high light of the event.
MATA launched a new Bathukamma Song written and composed by MATA Standing Committee member Sesha Giri Rao and produced by Srinivas Ganagoni ( Founder & President) & Kiran Duddagi (Executive Director) and logistical support from Dr. Linga Srinivas Rao.
MATA Founder & President Srinivas Ganagoni, Welcomed Telugu origin people and conveyed Bathukamma & Dasara Celebrations and launched the MATA song.
Singer Sai Veda Vagdevi entertained the ladies with Bathukamma songs with her great voice and all are played Bathukamma play with her tunes.
The Bathukamma & Dasara celebrations was organized by MATA Core team consists of Srinivas Ganagoni, Kiran Duddagi, Swathi Atluri, Vijay Bhaskar Kalal, Praveen Guduru, Mahender Narala,Venu Gopal Giri, Ranga Rao, Shirisha Gundapaneni, Venky Musti, Mallik Reddy, Krishna Siddhada, Gopi Vutkuri, Raghu Modupoju, Raghuram Rendeuchintala, Girija Madasi, Deepak Katta, Rakesh Kasturi, Narender Reddy, Mahesh Challuri, Chaitu Madduri.
The Bathukamma preparation committee consists of Manjula Ganagoni, Shirisha, Arundati Shakeli, Jyothi Krishna, Radhika Madupoju, Padmini Duddagi, Lalitha Madisetty, Neelima Varanasi who worked very hard to prepare the Bathukammas and help with the logistics.
MATA PA team Sreedhar Gudala (IVP), Mallik Rao Bolla (BOD) graced the occasion and our honorary advisors Vekatesh Mutyala and Damu Gedala, who are all part of the success of the celebrations.
The hall is filled with vendors inside & outside of the hall, the Telugu crowd outside of the hall and at one point we witnessed there is no place to stand inside the hall.
